Has life felt different since your heart attack or since someone you love had one? A heart attack changes more than a heart. It changes the lives of everyone it touches. You've just survived a heart attack, or maybe someone you love has, and suddenly life feels different. Or perhaps you're living with the constant fear that a heart attack could happen. Even though you've been given advice, it often feels overwhelming, confusing, or impossible to apply in real life. I'm Louisa Holzberg, a heart health coach, founder of Wingspan Wellness, and this is Thrive After a Heart Attack. This show is for you if you want to feel safe in your body again after a heart attack, or if you're supporting someone you love through their recovery. Because a heart attack doesn't just affect one person, it impacts spouses, partners, family members, and caregivers too. Too many people are left trying to navigate nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress, and the emotional impact of recovery on their own. That's where we shift things. Toward calm, clarity, and realistic steps that fit into a full, busy life. I'm a National Board certified health and wellness coach, a certified medical exercise specialist, a heart and math coach and trainer, and I bring over a decade of experience in cardiac rehabilitation as an exercise specialist. I've worked with people at every stage of recovery and cardiovascular risk, helping them rebuild confidence in their bodies, strengthen healthy habits, and move forward with hope. Each week, we'll explore what truly supports heart health: heart healthy nutrition, restorative sleep, safe and effective movement, and the mental and emotional fitness that helps quiet fear and reduce overwhelm. We'll also talk about how loved ones and caregivers can support recovery while caring for themselves. Instead of overwhelming medical jargon or conflicting advice, you'll receive practical step-by-step strategies you can actually use in your everyday life. As I like to say, I help you fly from your branch of illness to your branch of physical, mental, and emotional well-being. New episodes are released every Wednesday. Whether you're recovering yourself or walking beside someone who is, you're not alone. Together, we'll take one small step at a time toward greater confidence, resilience, and hope. Follow the show so you don't miss practical tools, expert conversations, and encouragement to help you protect your heart or support someone you love and truly thrive.
